What we do

Six ways we open the market.

Market research, feasibility and due diligence, so you invest on facts rather than hunches.

03

Open the right doors

Government and institutional relations: permits, incentives, grants, and the introductions that actually move things.

04

Secure the right site

We find your land, office or industrial space, and negotiate the deal.

05

Find the right partners

Vetted introductions to local suppliers, distributors and joint-venture partners you can trust.

06

Land softly

Questions

Doing business in Moldova: the basics.

What does Porta Group do?

Porta Group is the single accountable partner for international companies entering and operating in the Republic of Moldova. We handle market entry and company setup, government and institutional relations, market intelligence and due diligence, real estate and site selection, B2B matchmaking, and concierge and soft-landing support (visits, relocation, residence permits, logistics). You get one point of contact from your first question through to a running operation.

Why should a company consider Moldova?

Moldova is a low-cost, EU-adjacent market on a credible path to EU membership by 2028. It offers a 12% corporate income tax, a 7% flat-tax regime for technology firms (the Moldova IT Park), duty-free access to the EU under the DCFTA free-trade agreement, and state aid that can cover up to 60% of a qualifying manufacturing investment.

How long does it take to set up a company in Moldova?

A Moldovan limited liability company (SRL) can be registered quickly, and foreign investors can incorporate remotely without a physical presence. The usual delays are getting home-country documents legalized and opening a corporate bank account. Both go faster with local help.

What are the tax rates in Moldova?

The standard corporate income tax is 12%. Technology companies resident in the Moldova IT Park instead pay a single 7% tax on turnover. VAT is 20% standard. Moldova also has 40+ double-taxation treaties.

What investment incentives are available?

The main scheme is the Regional State Aid Scheme for Investments. For manufacturing projects with eligible costs from about €500,000, it offers a mix of grants and tax exemptions worth up to 60% of eligible costs, within a €100 million programme. Technology firms use the 7% IT Park regime, and there are dedicated programmes for renewable energy and agriculture.

How does Porta Group charge?

Usually a fixed project fee, an ongoing retainer, or a success fee tied to a result such as financing secured or a partner found. Often it's a combination. The best starting point is a short call.

Where is Porta Group based?

Chișinău, the Republic of Moldova.
